The Forgotten History of Pittsburgh Jazz

  • Mount Lebanon Public Library 16 Castle Shannon Blvd Pittsburgh, PA, 15228 United States (map)

Come and hear the greatest music you've never heard as Tom Roberts takes you on a journey through Pittsburgh's nightclubs, hotels, and theaters during the Jazz Age of the 1920's.

This multimedia event was first presented in 2011 and presents the early jazz musicians of Pittsburgh through recordings, images, film and incredibly rare news print.

This period of history has suffered incredible neglect and this program helps to restore the legacy of many of our musicians who have slipped through the cracks of time.

This new edition features many new discoveries as Tom continues to unearth the lost history of Pittsburgh jazz.
