Academy Concerts at Allegheny Church presents: Tom Roberts - Harlem Stride piano virtuoso

Tom Roberts will amaze, entertain, and enlighten you with a tour-de-force of the historical art form of Harlem Stride piano, the virtuosic piano music of the Harlem renaissance. Tom will play music of the great artists of the day: James P. Johnson, Fats Waller, Charles “Luckey” Roberts, and Willie “The Lion” Smith. Tom has performed this repertoire at New York City’s prestigious 92nd Street Y and twice at the International Stride Piano Summit in Zurich, Switzerland where he was a featured performer.
